The couch, in my living room, last Sunday in Toulouse, France.

Me, chillaxing on my laptop and my wife watching the TV.

Her:…

Me: yes, of course!

The day after…

Me, shouting with frustration: Why didn’t you tell me?

Her, confused: What, why didn’t I tell you what?

Me, raising my voice a little bit: What didn’t you tell me that I left it open?

Her: I did tell you that the windows were open in your car yesterday.

Me, confused: No, you didn’t, and now the rain has destroyed my car’s interior.

Her: So why did you tell me…

Each morning, when I wake up, I do one thing. This is the same thing I do each night before going to bed.

And it does not matter if it is rain, hail, or shine. I just do it twice a day.

And recently, with the coming of Covid-19, I have been doing it even multiple times a day while working from home.

And that one thing is to open all the windows of my house so that I can let out the old air and bring in fresh and new air for the day.

Ventilating our homes, our children’s…

Each year, it is the same movie playing out before my eyes.

It is the beginning, and we have it placed everywhere on the whole company walls, even in front of the toilets.

Each year, we have the company’s top objectives at the beginning of January. Then it is the moment the dance starts.

For each division of the company, for each function, for each department, those objectives are detailed, customized, and tailored to fit what people must be doing for the coming next 12 months.

Then I got the email notification that I have to read and accept those…

Often, I open my laptop. I go to my web browser. I open an incognito tab. And then I google myself.

Why an incognito tab you ask?

Well, I am glad that you asked. As you know, Google remembers everything you do and most importantly your previous searches, the pages you visited before.

So when you google something, it will most likely deliver to you results based on your preferences.

There is a lot of literature about why this can be a bad thing.

This is a subject for another story, maybe. …

In this article, we will explore 3 simple yet efficient ways to approach our life to make it the sweeter music to our ears.

But first, let me tell you a story that happened lately.

Him: What should I do next?

Me: I don’t know. I cannot decide.

Him: Now is the time, Sir. After it will be too late.

Me: Yes I know. It is just that my mind is not clear.

Him: But Sir, it is a simple “Yes” or “No” question.

Me: Well, maybe for you. For me, it is a life-changing decision.

Him: Do you want…

My NEO life.

Dear sons,

Toulouse, 28th of Jan 2019.

The first time we met. You are coming to this world, naked, yelling, and peeing. Weel the doctor had to cut through your mom to get you.

The first time we met, you changed my life forever Noah, Ali. Yes for me, you are Noah and Ali. You are both from Black, White. I am Muslim and your mother believes in herself. And you will make your own view of the world. I just hope that you will keep the Senegalese, Guinean, and Muslim heritage that I share with you.

Toulouse, 24th of…

The first time I saw her, it was an instant hit. My heart was beating as never before. I could feel my whole body tickling.

Is it love at first sight? I wondered. Everything in her gave me satisfaction. The way she looks at me makes me happy. I am just happy when she is by my side.

Then I had the courage to ask her out. And now we are sharing some moments together. We are even building memories with all the trips we are doing.

With her, I have been able to build the longest relationship so far…

Yes!, I would scream, each time I had the 4 Aces in my hand when playing Belote with friends and family.

It did not guarantee that I would win the game. It just gave me more confidence in that game.

I have been taking Improv comedy classes for 3 years now. Each time I am on stage, I also am looking for those 4 Aces on top of the Joker, the King of all faces.

The 4 Aces and the Joker is a sequence of 5 cards with magic powers or a “quinte” as we say when playing Belote.

The…

Back in High school, a long long time ago, I was amazed when I heard about DNA or DeoxyriboNucleic Acid. This double helix molecule was a treasure from my ancestors to me. In that tiny object, my whole genetic life was coded and encrypted.

Often we have assumptions or we hear that we cannot be more than our DNA. When repeated long enough, we internalize the fact that our DNA is our legacy, a code that cannot be cracked. …

The end of the year is a great moment to sit down and reflect on the past 12 months. 2020 has been a very challenging year for each of us, for humanity, and for the course of our lives.

As many people are listing what they have accomplished, I would like to take another angle. For me, this year has not been about my accomplishments. I have done some things here and there. I have also failed in many areas in my private and professional lives. I wanted to find a new position at work. I failed. With some friends…
