Hey Gerald aka The Sturg, j'adore ton nom de plume.

My friends call me Mad. I got that nickname in Engendering school in France 🇫🇷.

I am using my real name only on Medium and LinkedIn.

Funny story. My wife call me Mad. So does her family.

The reason?

I dance : Salsa, Rock n Roll, Semba and Kizomba.

When I use to go dancing, I didn't want to give my real name to people at those parties.

That is where I met my wife. I was not expecting to get married with her and have two beautiful kids. 😅

Yet I feel the burden of a nickname. For me, Mad is the persona I created for me while Ahmadou is the one society and my parents gave me.

I am not too attached to both in any particular way.

I am still searching 🔎 for my identity. So it's work in progress.
