Thank you Anthony for that third possibility.
I am using two other techniques to achieve a similar result.
- Option 01: The Mentor technique. Here is how I apply it
One of my mentors is Denzel Washington. I have never met him.
Each time I have to take a decision or react to a situation, I take a pause.
I imagine that he is there with me. I ask him for advice.
- Option 02: Same situation. I use the 8/80 rule. Either I imagine that my younger self, 8 years old or my older self, my 80 years old, is there with me.
When I am too harsh with myself, I try to imagine that I am talking to my younger self. When confused or frustrated or angry, I ask advice to my 80 years old.
To sum it up, you need to have a board of Advisors. Those people will always be with you all the time. For me the board is composed of : Denzel Washington, my younger self, my older self and my director self.
Who are the members of your board of Advisors?
