Thank you Isabella for those great tips taking action when off track.

There are 3 things that I do to get back on track.

First I have a backlog of five draft articles acting like my cookies jar. I use to sit, write, edit and publish, always in the hurry. One week, on holidays, I wrote one draft article per day.
Since then, I always make to put one article in each time I publish one. That buffer is awesome to cheer me up.

Second I have blocked a time on my calendar 🗓 for writing. The closer I get to it, the more my mind is ready. What get scheduled get done.
It's all about rituals. On top having a dedicated time, I also have some other rituals like sitting in the same spot, playing the same music Playlist on Spotify. Entering into those rituals is what makes me go back to writing easily.

Third, it's all about beating procrastination. We don't want to write because our brain 🧠 is working against us. I use the 5 minutes timer ⏲ hack. I tell my brain, don't worry Pal. It's only for five minutes.
By the time the timer is off, I have started and now my brain has switched to writing mode.
