Thank you Kingsley for articulating beautifully what I have been feeling for years.

I am a SeneGaulois, a mix of Senegal 🇸🇳 and France 🇫🇷.

This year marks my 23rd in France.

I used to define myself as Senegalese or French.

Now I prefer to say that I am local to Toulouse in France.

I have difficulties identifying myself as French.

I also identify myself as local to Dakar, Senegal.

One more thing...

I never say that I am an immigrant. It's just accepting the frame of the West casted upon us, the "Third world".

When ever western people go abroad, they call themselves expats.

So I am an expat in France also. 💯 😂
